This says 16K per year in the USA, I've seen 15K....
somewhat over 1000 new infections per month.
In the next 5 Years I would suggest that the HCV+ population is going to drop dramatically in the USA, then in the EU, etc.

Like polio it is a disease that could possibly be eradicated.

So worldwide, perhaps thousands per day, but in the more industrialized nations w/ better healthcare it should come down dramatically.
