Yeah, I often wonder if folks who don't play golf can truly appreciate the game...and always come to the conclusion that they probably cannot. It's a tough game to play mentally. In fact, most who play beat themselves by over analyzing. "Paralysis by analysis".
As Ben Crenshaw said, "It's a game of near misses." And if you think about it, that's precisely true. A perfect golf shot goes in the hole and that happens rarely except in putting.
But the real thrill of striking a shot cleanly or making a good putt is simply awesome. And I particularly like just being on a well manicured golf course...nothing like it.
