I would like you to define this "class warfare" I don't understand what you are implying.
Re Willie: I think if you read about, you will find that WJC wasn't against this action. I heard him say something to the effect that Iraq would take about a week. I voted against his opposition twice, though I never particularly like him. I think his administration was very effective. They got things done. They worked with the Newtwits and worked toward balancing the budget, reforming welfare, and together they were blessed with a strong economy. An economy that was destroyed by greed and malfeasance. By the way if I blame anyone for that it would be your good friend AG who should have acted sooner and with more vigor.
Yes there is very much politics at all times and the left is learning the tricks of the right. Rush and his ilk have been using half truths for the best part of a long time. The left is finally beginning to see that they must fight back in the same manor. I posted a very interesting analysis of that by George Lakoff a while back.
The Democrats have no leg to stand on right now because they have been cowards and were indecisive about 911. They too voted for the war. That is why the whole argument must be moved further to the left into the realm of the people who questioned the very reasons we were going to war. The WMD question is a very important one. Did we go to war because we were delusional? Did we go to war because the Administration faked information to justify a war? These and similar questions are what the left is asking. Dessert Storm, 911, the Liberation of Iraq all have one thing in common the strategic interests of the USA because of our dependence on OIL. This is a debate that should not be handled lightly.
Or something like that
