Actually they were not. I have forwarded them on to a law firm in Windsor, Ontario. What those emails stated which I posted here were also repeated in the media and Kirk Foran stated in the media they were indeed his emails. Somehow between November 2013 and September 23, 2014 town officials suffered a severe case of amnesia. I took town officials at their word which is why I posted them here. How can the elected officials claim they were not aware when the meeting minutes showed they were. There is a great deal not right about this. All anyone has to do is subpoena the town officials emails to verify they did exist but they do not even have to do that. Recent statements by Bain and others show there has clearly been an about face and a higher authority should get involved to see why the town was making statements which turned out to be, well, somewhat unsubstantiated. I read those meeting minutes and they were approved for Agricultural Value Added. Why would the town not change that designation to accomodate the scale of operations Bill referred to in January? Why is the town making public statements the company is limited production wise? There is much here that does not seem right. I don't mind being left with egg on my face - others have as well in the media who reported what was passed along in emails. the bigger question is why the town is reversing a stand they earlier held or was the stand for something much smaller and it just got away from them. They were counting on a small winery and got Seagrams?! I don't get how they could have missed that one.
