Chinese official holds nuclear talks with Iran - report

TEHRAN (AFX) - A senior Chinese diplomat has held talks with Iran's top national security official, Iranian television reported, amid mounting international tensions over the Islamic republic's nuclear drive.

The report said China's assistant foreign minister, Cui Tiankai, met Iran's Supreme National Security Council chief Ali Larijani, as well as nuclear negotiator Javad Vaidi.

No further details on the talks were given.

The visit comes in the wake of Iran's announcement that it had successfully enriched uranium to the level needed to make reactor fuel.

'We are concerned about the announcement and are also worried about the possible development of the situation,' Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said in Beijing on Thursday.

China has also announced that the political directors of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany will meet Tuesday in Moscow to discuss the Iranian issue.

French Aircraft Carrier In Abu Dhabi

Hi guys while I was fishing from Port Zayd, I first spotted a French ship and I wasn't sure about the Nationality because it was really glary...
Half an a later I spotted French Carrier arrived, it took a while to anchor in the harbour with the help of tug boat. I spotted about 5 Super Etendard, 4 Rafale and single E2 aircraft as well.
There is no news about their arrival as yet and I took some picture with my mobile phone as well but as you know the quality of pict.
Another ship was anchored about 4 or 5 km from the port.

what are the french doing there???? Are really going to attack iran with the yanks? that will be a great mistake, I think.

umm... french carrier was near karachi few days back, busy in exercises with PAF.. now i dont know why they've gone to abu dhabi.. maybe for exercises? or just going back to France, and stopped at abu dhabi for rest? refueling? lol..
