I wouldn't go that far. At some point, no matter how much further you discount the CPU, the impact to the TCO for the systems, software, and services won't be materially affected.

Nah. That doesn't make any sense. HP splits their systems between the two and they don't have that much of the market when you discount their share by 50%. There's an advantage to offering both. They don't want to be caught like Dell...
