Majajan is going 2 ways here, on the one hand he agrees that Bush rants that Ahmadinejad is the new Hitler, and he will stop this (and we can hear Bush thinking this is G-d's will); on the other hand he sees Bush pramatically bowing to his having exhausted his political capital and stepping back, in an act of realism.
We have a contradiction.
We can not have this guy Bush43, 1/2 cuckoo and 1/2 pramatically bowing to the realization that he will be cast to the dogs of history and eaten up, if he proceeds to attack Iran.

Bush has a pathological disgust for negative thinking, if he had an advisor telling him that the U.S. is in desperate situation and we have to bluff like hell, that advisor would be shown the door and told "and never comeback you traitor!!"

Even a fundalmentalist, that was fundalmentally sane, would have known, without hesitation that Russert meant George Bush,Sr. and not have proceeded to ask "what father do you mean?", and would have avoided the whole GAWD bit.
