#4120 RE: jhalada #4119

Re: I will get back to you no that. But right off the bat, I think TWY estimated, I think, $92 or so for Q4, and IIRC, AMD commented on ASP increase to be about 7% (again, going on memory), so I would think that the ASP is in mid 90s, possibly between above $95 (but still below $100).

Someone posted a link earlier to some analyst estimates that AMD's ASP was slightly north of $90, and Intel's was slightly south of $150. But go ahead and use $95 if you want, just so I can see the product mix you are proposing.

I'm also trying to find out AMD's "real" competitiveness versus Intel. If AMD is selling predominately low end parts, then Intel should be beating them in performance, even with Presler and Cedar Mill. The benchmarks all use FX-60 and X2 4800+ vs. XE and 950 Intel parts, but the real comparison might be 3000+ vs. 631s or 3500+ vs. 920s.

And you better hope Mas isn't right, or else the real comparison may be Sempron 2800+ vs. Pentium 4 and Pentium D.
