I didn't post a CTIX chart or predict anything other than I expected CTIX to break 2.47 to blue-sky. I gave the reasons for that, and it did happen. Call it a lucky guess. I didn't make any prediction for today, so I'm not sure what you're referring to.
But, every chart person was expecting a move up from all that I read on the chart posts. Shall we just all admit is voodoo bull! :) -Ovidious
Generally I'm very careful about predictions and mostly observe the way the price action has gone and look for patterns and try for an 'on balance' call... sometimes. That is an opinion, not not fortune telling.
As I frequently state, it all depends on what the buyers and the sellers do in the future, not knowable in advance, but its fun to guess at.
Ovidius, got to keep this short, as I am busy in the markets $$$ ;).
I find most discussions on the merits of technical analysis to be quite tiresome. It works for me. Maybe not for you. Actually, CTIX is performing pretty much as I have expected, and mostly based on technical. Go back and check my posts over the last few months. Scary, but batting pretty much 100%.
I thought about the technical debate this weekend when visiting my broker. It dawned on me, I have a degree in finance, I have read many a book on technical, many an article, seen many a video, etc. Mathematically, one with true knowledge on the subject can not argue against technical analysis (when properly done). I came to realize that most who will argue against technical have not done their homework, have not done the research, reading, and study. How to educate others. It's not my place. And, actually I believe one can be a successful investor without the use of technical.
Just some friendly advice. Advice that may put some $$$ into your accounts. Read some good technical books. Do some study. After all that, you will discover whether technical can benefit you. Maybe it will not. Again, it has worked well for me.
