Apparently, the first prototype did not start running until January 11 this year.

They're testing it:

Rotoblock Has Successfully Completed Its First Continuous Test Run of the Oscillating Piston Engine
Wednesday March 29

Rotoblock Corporation announced today that the OPE (Oscillating Piston Engine) has successfully completed its first, extended test run, and a video presentation is now available for public review on the Rotoblock Corporate website. Whereas the previously announced ignition cycling confirmed the basic design principals, this test run proved the OPE to be capable of extended operation. Due to the application of a newly developed nano technology metal coating to the OPE metal surfaces friction in the OPE had been drastically reduced. This second test run proves beyond any doubt that four cycle combustion engines can successfully function with only FOUR moving parts assemblies: namely the cylinder head, the two piston/shaft/yoke assemblies and the crank shaft. Pending further in-depth analysis, to date no engine part has shown evidence of excessive stress or wear. Rotoblock will now be moving to phase 2, which involves refinement of combustion technological aspects that are unique to the Oscillating Piston Engine and the development of other design elements necessary for the successful marketing of advanced propulsion technologies.>>

Don't worry about SVMI. There's plenty of room for everybody.
