Spam bots have been going wild the past couple of days. Keeping those things from being able to wreak havoc is definitely one of the advantages of being a pay site. In the meantime, is there any way to change the registration process to make life more difficult for the spammers? E-mail password confirmation perhaps?
I think the record stands at 484 posts in just a few minutes. Someone's running scripts to hit every thread and there's currently nothing I can do about it to prevent it. It's fixable programmatically though. Just can't do it yet.
