We have gone from theories of education to theories of social blather in our colleges of education. Future teachers are indoctrinated in politically correct liberal social theory rather than how to teach kids to read, write, and do math. When they get out into the world of teaching, they join the NEA and are told that no matter how poorly they do their job, they cannot be fired - as long as they get out the vote for liberal candidates.

The courts have taken responsibility for education from the local level and given that responsibility to the government and other courts, who then tell the local schools what politically correct things they must do and politically incorrect things they must avoid doing. All thoughts of actually educating kids are far down the list of priorities.

And we wonder why "johnny" cannot read, write, or do math.
