Phil...You are absolutely correct, but if acetone is used to clean a fabric of any kind, follow it up with a good soap. I always have acetone, de-natured alcohol turpentine on hand in the garage; this along with CRC-556 (same as wd-40 but better IMO), with these I can conquer just about anything.
