I was opening my pool today and saw a little hole in the lining. So I got out my pool lining patch kit and read the instructions. The glue works under the water. Never used it before and followed the instructions. When I opened the glue it looked like engine oil and was not like glue at all. It spilled into the water an acted like oil with a film on the water. I put my finger in it and was able to pick up the whole slick. It was cool. However it got all over my hands and as I was working I let it stay figuring the instruction would tell you how to get it off. Well I finished the patch and tried to get the glue of my fingers. It was like liquid bandage and the more I picked the more it looked like a bad case of leprosy. I looked at the instructions and there was nothing about cleaning up. So I used lava soap and nothing. I used fine sandpaper and nothing except some hurt skin (I know I should have used coarse). I tried everything in the book and it only made it worse. My wife tells me to use nail polish remover and I say "that's ridiculous" if sandpaper and lava soap will not work and water does not work nothing is going to work. I took a shower and said what the heck I"ll try the nail polish remover. It worked like a charm. Now I'm really pissed because what company puts out a product without "how to clean up?" Plus now my wife who knows I used the nail polish remover and it has worked has not said a thing. I just know she's just waiting for the right moment to say "how did that nail polish remover work?"
