You are answering your own questions by asking them. There is no firm answer for anything really. We aren't dealing with computer 1's and 0's. It takes common sense to deal with these issues. Everything is dynamic. Nothing I ever write will ever encoompass every potentional situation. I have to take a general rule book and apply it the best I possibly can.

So what number of posts on a board is excessive?

Three off topic posts repeated with the same or almost the same verbage has been considered the limit I believe.

IOW, if I spammed T on three dedicated stock boards not related to T, or more than three on boards related to the general discussion of stocks, all but one should be removed. In addition, the same exact repetitive information posted more than once a week on a single board should be considered spam, unless the post includes information not included in the original post.

That seems to be the way Matt and SIBob have handled it in the past. So I guess Matt could state that, or something like that as a fact/rule.

I don't understand why it has to be etched in stone though.
