Most of these ETFs...whether long, short 2x or 3x or whatever...are just for flipping and short term trades. You're right. Look at the whipsaw today, for instance. I was being facetious about loading the boats, trains and busses. You do have to watch these carefully and be methodical...but even the best methodologies can go awry with these...to me, it's just gambling.
