If Gerry wants to take TEVE private he can do it at whatever price he pleases. $1 or $100 a shares. He'll set the price and with 93% of voting shares approve the offer.

Why would a businessman pay a penny more than necessary for anything? He may give money to charities, but he himself is not a charity.

Talk of $70 a share from him is silly.

It doesn't matter to Mr lenfest, he traded the debt of the company which he owns to shares of the company that he owns, all is mute as he owns 93 percent of the company, it's assets, it's people, so if he decided to go private or to sell, he not only sells the shares but the value of everything, so the 70 dollars he accepted again is pointless. This is his company and he will do with it as he pleases, again compare to his other company as to the actions of the majority shareholder, preferred dividends and he's making money, keep the share price low, eliminate all shares publicly traded, means nothing, he's getting his money one quarter at a time with both companies.
