That really is garbage if true. A brokerage firm's job is to allow you to execute and structure your portfolio how you want to, not to control and limit your ability to trade. I would seriously consider moving brokers. Its your money. Not theirs.

I called them to no avail. Their analysts have deemed it too risky now.
