ezey, it is not so much what is the size of the "helping" but what percentage of your active portfolio and how you divide these assets (those assets allocated for stocks investments). Typically for "day trading" around 20% of the account is committed in any day (and most often closed before the end of the day). In each situation I try to keep around 2% and not to exceed 10% of these assets (that can happen on doubling down of larger positions). Of course, rules are made to be broken and from time to time, I will go over these limits, more often than not, when I break the rules, I pay for it...
