I don't buy it.

These are old debts so they get written off and sold to debt collectors who are a sleazy bunch anyway and they just dumped shares to get what they could get. Old debt is bought at pennies on the dollar so these third parties made money at our expense.

Have the snake disclose who the buyers of the junk debt were, then.

They weren't "written off". If you write it off, you sure as hell don't issue 1.7 billion shares for it. ;)
