This is such a ludicrous concept "free shares". If you sell your "free shares" you get "free money". Basically, you are gambling at this point. And, gambling (on a license, or contract, or whatever) is not a way to make money consistently.
You are taking profits which exist and hoping they turn into something but logically in this case and statistically in the case of the OTC the odds are very, very small. If you have played the stock well enough to have recouped your total investment and are still holding shares you should take the profit.
There was just a great article written about how on the average people who do things like this make less money than people who consistently take profit. I am sure you think "well I am up x% and $y dollars" but that doesn't disprove that if you abandon the "free shares" concept you'd be up MORE probabilistically.
They aren't killing you... but they aren't helping you. They are just sitting there waiting to evaporate.
