Had you thought about waiting for RSI to drop below 18-20 before rebuy long?

In my own system if I get a down signal I will ignore it only when the RSI 5 gets below 20 and I will go long.It is the only time I will ignore my signal and do the opposite.

Another suggestion: use recent average of Vix to adjust the RSI5 buy threshold. For low vix, use higher threshold such as 30 or even 32; but as vix moves higher, reduce the threshold to 28, 25, 20, or even 10.
