The main reason (if not the only reason) people are interested in VRNG is because of the Google lawsuit. Listen, people (except few like yourself) are not in VRNG because of future deals or lawsuits. Period.
IMO, institutions or those who took part in recent warrant transactions believe in the strength of Vringo case against Google, and they don't care about Vringo's future deals or lawsuits
Vringo has no control over the Courts' schedules (pre-trial, post-trial, & appeals), the jury error and Google's lawyering allowed under the law. The way I see it, Google was lucky because of the jury error, and Vringo mishandled the laches. And on the bright side and if luck is on Vringo's side this time, there is some hope for a laches reversal based on a recent SCOTUS decision regarding the status of limitation from another lawsuit that is not connected to V v. G.
