I see it all the time. SPECcpu2000 executes no non-compiler-produced code at all. I am sure that Zeus is 99% C or C++ code (look at all the CPUs it runs on - there's a possibility the crypto stuff is hand coded). You think the TPC results were done with assembly? I really doubt it.
