He's taking a huge risk, IMO. Hopefully he has lots of insurance. Just one injury on his private property and he could loose his house, land, and whatever else he has.

That is what homeowners insurance is for anyways.
If it was true I could risk everything I had because of kids playing baseball I'd do it.
