Sad to hear. Hope they put the guy away for good this time.

I was in Vegas last week and you see everything there. I ran over my old Blackberry phone with the car and finally put it out of it's misery the night before we left. So first thing I had to do when we got to LV was hunt down a Verizon store. Just as I'm about to pull up to the store this very pregnant woman comes stumbling into my lane of traffic and I stop for her with other driver's horns blaring. I'm thinking she's going to jaywalk across six lanes of traffic but then she gets back up on the sidewalk. When I parked the car I could still see her out on the sidewalk. I'm in the store about two hours and when I come back out she's still out there reeling around. By her face she looked like a crack-head or meth addict. I would have tossed her a water bottle if I'd had one, but other than that could not get involved. Very sad to see.

So anyway, I head south on Maryland Parkway and there is a cop driving very erratically. He cuts across all the lanes, goes in and out of a gas station and back across traffic. I'm thinking what the f is up with that when he pops the lights on and I realize he had been following a car which had been trying to shake him. That guy tromps on it and cuts across the road then heads south weaving around traffic in the northbound lanes. Just like out of that "COPS" TV show. Less than a mile down the road the cops had him surrounded with squad cars. I imagine the Vegas area cops are pretty well practiced with such situations. Probably even knew the driver on a first name basis?

Heading west on Tropicana traffic was at a complete standstill. Finally worked my way up just west of the airport and a motorcycle had tangled with a car and it looked like a pretty gruesome wreck. I hate to see that because I'm a rider myself.

Stayed close the "The Strip" for the remainder of my stay where things are a little more civilized.
