ZZZBest is also a classic example of auditor independence where the independence was totally broken down and they were totally led to believe there was nothing to worry about. It's like the Auditing 101 example of "watch out" because a client might try to fool you or trick you. Arther Anderson deserved to be spanked and unless you won the Mary Pickford Award and are in with Price Waterhouse / Coopers, auditors just want their hours and will slave themselves justly to get them. Good luck to you, it's not easy being an auditor or having your reports ripped apart by the senior manager. All the best and thanks for the example.
