OT: neilbolton: Exactly, it is a content protection system. It can be compared, most likely, as similar to the https secure messages used by credit card companies, business applications, and the like. I could be wrong, but I think https uses 128 bit encryption.
I briefly looked for that type of info re AACS an couldn't locate. It doesn't matter much from my point of view. If it is less than that, then hacking will easier. If 128 then https applications will have to go to 256 bit or higher for reasonable security.
