As a percentage of per capita income in each country, the prices are much closer: US 158%, Germany 165%, and UK 153%. My guess though is that Britain's figure is lower overall because it is willing to ration the provision of health services to its citizens.

That also sounds like a lot of expensive law suits directed against insurance companies by patients who believe they are entitled to SOC drugs.
