Parking Lot isn't exactly what I'd call a model for structuring the rest of the site. It's a venting place only. To keep that kind of "noise" out of the stock threads.
That is exactly the structure the old guard came here under last year. Personal board can be as creative as you want just like IRC and other moderated sites. Just like what you exercised and I am an advocate for this very concept.
But under no circumstances will threads about stocks be given "personal board" latitude.
I agree about stock discussions ... no debate here.
Posts don't get deleted for breaking that rule, though.
That is your right but I suspended myself from that thread because I di break the rules and I will never post there again because of violating the Chair's rules. Deleting posts is the option of the Chair.
As far as the board with your name in it I di not approve but you created it so if I want to make a board like you did and want the punishment then are you saying I do not have a right to create a thread to bash me with no cronies allowed? I disagree where I do not have the right to start on on you I feel I do on me, like you did. I realize my posted would not be deleted but that is your right as the COB. But I did self suspend myself from that thread for on complying.
And a public company may have a stake in it.

When such a thing is used for discussion of stocks, the market, or people, then it ceases to be a personal board (in this context) because it can be used to create an environment of only a biased viewpoint of relevant topics being presented.
Ahhh so we do have a war brewing. So if on Gabard's corner if I discuss stocks, the market or even people its not personal when in fact the site is for anyone who wants my personal opinion on anything. I smell a real war going on here. The oldguard will have a fit on this one.
And if it continues to happen (not talking about your board), we will either remove "personal board" status from such boards, or do away with the personal board concept altogether.
And that will create a war because it just undermine the COB concept. If anyone has a perosnal board and someone makes mention of a stock and it is discussed it is not the stock thread and it is not subjected to stock chat. Example say VENDIT out of the blue has a fundmentalist (me) come to his thread ... I ask his opinion ... he is not the stock thread and thus not subject to being the thread on that stock. In other words someone posts fundmentals and another says "To the moon" and another says "To zero" it is his option to delete all or none or to respond to any with his personal opinion. Matter of fact he can claim all three are off topic.
It's his personal board, people will come there to discuss and search out his option. That does not make it a stock related thread. If he deletes negative posts he does not agree with that is his option. Now Only sites that carry the ticker are the stock sites or is that about to change?
