Good DD but lets put this in a little more perspective. Likely Kirton an McConkie will handle mergers and acquisitions (M&A) which is great, because this indicates both that GRCU intends to be involved in M&A and has high level legal reps to navigate these transactions.
They do nothing for the PR's or 8k type of filings. That falls on IR teams (does GRCU have an IR team?) and certified accountants or on house legal.
Much like PHOT had Crowell and Moring (a top legal team who reps fortune 500 companies) and they handled M&A issues for GrowLife). Unfortunately, PHOT had issues with the 8k/10k's and executive compensation. That's accountants and in-house lawyers work.
Similarly, FRTD just got suspended for their bogus PR's apparently. That is the IR team and in house legal, not a company like the one retained.
Neither of these companies would have been helped by legal teams here as these firms don't handle day to day activities... just M&A and large events.
