Isn't it almost 20% of the float? Wow, that's a lot. Shorts will regret it.

not surprising since ANY vaulted to an all-time high 9.55 CND on April 25 from a low of 6.9 CND on Apr 15 in that period.

I'm starting to wonder about the accuracy of this short number. How is it calculated? It makes very little sense there would be such a high percentage of the float short or that those already underwater with short positions would take on new. Unless the method is to short from the new high and covering on a dip, something like averaging down.

Anyway...go sphere!

Fidelity shows this message for SPIHF -

HARD TO BORROW

Shortable Shares --

Est. Annual Interest Rate 9.5%

Does anybody with a Canadian brokerage account have info on the availability of shortable shares for ANY?

I never shorted a stock before, so let me understand this, the short has to pay interest on the borrowed shares? Example if most shorted this at $3-$4 they are losing their a$$ and paying interest? With the small float taken by insiders and very strong longs, seems that they are only waiting for a miracle of some sort to happen so the can cover lower. Is this close to what is going on with the shorts situation? They are playing with fire to the extreme, imo!
