#9215 RE: duediligence3 #9214

LOL! This blog was started in April 2014 and the intro post is as follows:
"Hi, welcome to my blog about researching fractal video compression. I’m always looking for new investment opportunities but I’m very careful to do all my homework first. If you find this blog useful or have good information to share, great!

I used Iterated’s SoftVideo codec (also known as the VDK) way back in the late 1990's, and all this time I thought the industry had moved on to MPEG type stuff. Apparently not: there are not one but two companies (TMM and Dimension) offering fractal video solutions. This is exciting but before I dive in I need to know what their prospects are."

So let's see, this blogger used Iterated technology in the 1990's and some 20 years later he opens a brand new blog and tags all his postings with "TMMI". Me thinks that PaulShclesinger = DueDillegence (or at least acquaintances)

DD3, why don't you explain the difference between Dimension's technology and TMMI's in terms of why TMMI's will fail and Dimension's will not when they both claim to be using fractals

DD

Better get this to Raytheon right away. They apparently have no idea of what they're doing!

"Resolution independance" and "Unsuitability of fractal algorithms for surveillance applications"

DueDee3, why am I not surprised that you continue to spread misinformation? TRUDEF is NOT based on VDK2 as described in Dimension's bogus 8,639,053 patent and it is becoming very apparent that that you have got it all wrong. VDK2 was an experiment to improve compression time on old IBM PVS supercomputers back in the 1990s and as I have previously pointed out to you TMMI has made it very clear that it is shelving this obsolete code. The lawsuit is NOT about a fight over technology, its about putting an end to the Dentist's tortuous interference in TMMI's affairs over the past 14 years period.

As for fractal scaling, you couldn't be more wrong. Have you ever heard of Genuine Fractals 5 and 6 (now called Perfect Resize) for still images? It is regarded as one of the best image scalers available in the market place today. Take a guess as to the origins of that product? You clearly are not earning what little remuneration you may be getting for maintaining this misleading blog about the wrong software. But I take it that you're much smarter than Raytheon and they lack your "expertise" in determining the viability of TRUDEF in their field of operations.

Good luck on your mission of discrediting TMMI's TRUDEF's fractal compression software that has clearly surpassed your "history of working" with Iterated's outdated VDK2.

Let the games begin...

KABOOM - BOOM - BABY!!!

I think you must work for MPEG.LA. You have slammed both TMMI and Dimension here. I do admire your tenacity for there is a ton of work and verbiage that you've put out in your blog.

Like a lot of the pumpers here there are some truths in what you post but there are also some wild assumptions that working from a 20 year old algorithm would make one draw from.

The new TMMI people aren't morally handicapped. You probably have never met with Larry Panik and wouldn't know anything about him other than the constant and daily witch hunt remarks that you see on this board.

You also do not, nor does any other company outsider, know of the progression that both TMMI and Dimension have made with their flavor of codec. People used to think Einstein and Edison were goofy also.

Conclusions are made with information available and I'm afraid your bucket is far from full.
