#7872 RE: pointofreturn #7867

Does not surprise me at all. The ISRG reps that initially sold the Da Vinci back when it first hit the market are the ones that made BIG money. Like any technology, that is when the company is going to aggressively compensate its reps. As time went on I would think ISRG started pulling back on the big spiffs and bonuses, even though the company is actually making big profits. I am speculating, but I would think Titan would represent that initial opportunity again to be compensated at that upper echelon commission rate to go out and make it happen, as the first couple years are the most important and you have to have the best of the best out selling this product. If they roll this out with losers in the field, believe me investors will not be happy as they won't be able to execute on their plan. I'm not sure if former ISRG reps are really the best people to be hiring. The culture there is very toxic and it does start from the top, I've heard some very shady stories about the top sales brass at ISRG that were caught in a scheme where they were basically ripping off US Surgical (while they were working there, many of the top sales guys at ISRG were at US Surgical when that company was the place to be).
