They where designed already to take a direct hit, from a 120 mm round. My cousin is the military. He just joined back, in the Army, he is training to be a helo operator, he may get Apaches. He told me, dont believe the specs, cause its a lot more than they put out. The new block 3 Apache is 70% tougher they say, and much faster now. He was the one who told me, it may survive a belly hit, from a tank shell. I dont know, but you are right, I am in love with the Darwin Bark spider. Just because of the energy it can absorb. If we have something 10 times stronger, well we will know, our boys will have a better chance coming home. Also, I just read, the Abrams can absorb a RPG molten round also. I dint know that before. But, I did know, they can take a 120 mm shell hit with a high probability of survival.
