Is that the Leisure World complex? Yes, these types of retirement communities should do very well as the babyboomers age.

I would also expect the high-end beach properties to be the first to slow down, but so far that has not happened in my area of L.A. County. Perhaps because the people who can afford them are also pretty knowledgeable and prefer holding real property to holding cash at this juncture, especially with 40-year lows in interest rates.

Two houses on my block, one for $1.2 million sold the first week, the other at $985K had three offers all over list the first week. That's a hot market! Maybe I should sell mine . . .
