I haven’t posted what I think the odds of TAF failure are, so how can anybody say that my opinion with respect to TAF is unduly bearish?

Really?

You have posted 5-10 times that the market (or at least GILD longs) is underestimating the risk to the "huge" or "gigantic" (or words to that effect) GILD HIV franchise. And that the HCV market is not (or at least should not be) the real concern. Implicit in each of those posts is that you are bearish on the likelihood of success for TAF and that others should acknowledge the significant risks.

Of course, since I am one of those GILD longs, it is possible that I am too sensitive to the comments and have mis-interpreted them, but I think not. If you are not bearish, please correct me. I posted the DB summary in part to show that there are those that think the market is underestimating the potential for the GILD/HIV market in the future. As always, no one really knows for sure. We all make are our own bets (hopefully educated).
