China doesn't manufacture TESLAS or comparable cars do they? I don't get the connection to that and my post. My point being why would people in China buy Motovox products when there are dozens of similar low cost versions already made there? I'm sure they would buy some but it's not like there's a massive void or demand for APT's version. Even less if they counterfeit the Smart Carb. Just a thought

Exactly! China is the Growth Machine. For instance,China has shown that Audi led BMW and Mercedes for 5 years in a row. Audi, which is absent from the top 5 list for America, recorded an annual sales growth between 22% and 52% in China over the past 5 years. Just last year, new vehicle registration numbers indicated that Chinese gobbled up 474,853 Audis. On the other side of the globe, Americans bought 318,422 units of Mercedes.

BMW reported that strong sales in China helped boost its first-quarter profit by 11% from a year earlier and secured its position as the world's leading premium-car maker.

Mercedes-Benz in the global market for luxury cars is heating up. First-quarter earnings from the major German auto makers show that China is the proving ground that could decide the winner.

Total revenue, including its Mini and Rolls Royce brands, rose 4% to €18 Billion. Sales of BMW brand cars rose 12% to 428,259 vehicles in the quarter, with sales in China surging 25% and accounting for a quarter of its total. BMW volumes in the U.S. and Europe were each up just 3%.
