I think that there would be a psychological factor but I think a lot other ducks would have to be lined up to make it have a big effect.

What if the United States desires a ‘little effect’. Take the dollar down just a little and make us more competitive. Wouldn’t this get us off the hook with Europe who would rather see a strong dollar? After all it wasn’t our fault the dollar slid a little, our enemies did this to us.

You are better at this than I is any of this reasonable?
