#1543 RE: echarters #1539

Randy Reifel did well on pure exploration with Francisco, the model is proven to work .... he plans the same with Chesapeake, to spend only the increase and not the capital ..... of course the buoyant early 90s market handed fgx its capital based on hopes for el Sauzal, that of ckg comes from the buyer of fgx, el Sauzal and all, so there is that to it - he is riding on previous success .... this time around ckg has no proven resource in hand, just a treasury and an exploration team .... a team that developed two mines with the previous company, though ..... and it's well followed - i don't think it's wise to underestimate the influence of NLWs, the self-fulfilling prophecies et al .... i don't hold ckg at the moment, not meaning to say it is a great deal as it stands, but i think it's well worth watching, it'll have a dynamic of its own, being a unique business model ..... and it's easy to imagine it bouncing somewhere in here [maybe after filling the December gap-up?]

How about applying fibonacci numbers in this way - take the treasury of 1.60ish and the 52-wk high of 4.60ish, a fib retracement of 0.50 on the difference between them puts the share right where it is now, 3.10ish ..... fun with numbers, or what are calculators and saturday mornings for ... i dunno, sure you can call it a basis of hype, but hype works .... for a while anyway, it's easy to visualise how after a few years if they've drilled and killed a few claims and start to look totally skunked, the share could trade below its treasury, sure ... time will tell

Almaden - they used to be amh.to, right? .... Bishop used to follow them, he was quite hot on them during the time of Corriente, if memory serves ..... other NLWs too, they had a promising claim called la Trinidad .... they were like a Minefinders, Corner Bay, X-Cal type outfit, the toiling geologist business model ... never in the limelight, the attention went to more spectacular plays and/or crashes
