i hope the U.S. can comprehend that Iran is 75million people that are 95% Shi'ite and not 25 million, of a dramatically divided Iraq.
And they have much superior weaponry than Iraq.
That contrary to the common perception, there is NOT a population mass ready to have a a "regime change", in fact, the youth of Iran are getting filled with a sense of Nationalism over the past year because of what is seen as our arrogant disrespect of Iran as a people.
That things like our saying "we have no harm intended on the Iranian people but just your "regime".
All they have to do is look at Iraq is see what vacuous buffery that is by "our regime".
We have no credibility in Iran, and the "Iranians for Democracy Exiles" our seen as but the "Iraqis in Exile for Democracy", and are loved about as much as the Iraqi exiles were, that is, not very much.
This is so incredible, are setting a dire course towards Iran while we are losing in Iraq.
Have we become so blinded with our arrogance and pride to think we can't end up in a humiliating defeat?
And is this the administration that will "Nuke 'Em" rather than lose something that the Nixon administration would not dare even do in regards Nam.
Being in my 60s, i remember back, and i would like to have but one dollar for each american that said "Nuke 'Em!" in terms of Nam(i would collect about 50million dollars i dare say.)
But i have said this before, the first Nuclear bombing by anyone, anywhere onto to a populace, will be the point of no return, civilization will head down the drain.
The U.S. and Israel i actually see as the greatest danger( i incluse also North Korea) on this as they are working themselves into a fever pitch of paranoia, that can lead to a "pre-emptive" nuclear attack, even if but strategic sized---it crosses the line that was made after the shock waves of horror on realizing what these bombs are actually capable of doing. Once that line crossed,, forgettaboutit.
We are painting a false picture of a "salivating demented Iranian leadership" lusting to attack the world with a Nuke.
We went through this with China in the 60s.
But now i feel we are using the "They will Nuke us" as a ploy to rally the people to "The Cause", whatever that is-- that is for the top secret realm and the liberal use of applying top secret status is the great end around the irritant of democracy to the leaders of "democracy"
i quote George Wahington <<"Government is not reason," George WASHINGTON reputedly said, "it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master."
