SpecInt is a different animal, testing huge tasks with typical workloads.


Contrary to what many people think SPEC CPU does not put such a high pressure on caches. CPU2000 data miss rate is 5.25% and CPU2006 is even lower at 2.95%. This is lower than the 11.6% alexander-dumbass measured for Geekbench (I computed load+store miss rate).

Silvermont does much better than the ARM competition in that (according to Intel, no other sources available).


If Intel used their own compiler, there's a bias as it's known to be heavily tuned for SPEC.
