The show was a great disappointment. (Normally I never watch Apprentice anyway because I think Trump's a jerk.) Clearly nobody understood the basics of using text messaging as a MARKETING tool. When I first heard about the show I thought--WOW--neat, a real world marketing problem being investigated by one of the world's premier marketing companies, Gillette (and P&G too by virtue of being Gillette's new owner). Unfortunately, the show was quite pathetic. Didn't anyone being asked to text a message ASK FOR A FREE FUSION RAZOR if he/she agreed to do that? Now that would have been an insight! There were ample opportunities to gain/show insight into this emerging marketing medium in last night's broadcast but none was evident. Appeared to be the blind leading the blind IMO. As to HipCricket's involvement...I hope it was as 'beancounter' rather than providing creative input--because there was none IMO as PP has already pointed out. YJ.
