You probably have some application that checks for updates automatically every few minutes. When it's timed right it could stop the five minute trigger. I've never used that feature. I guess you'd have to remove all programs you have allowed permission to access the internet and add them back one at a time to catch the offender and then disable that feature. You might even get that kind of behavior from the auto update checker in ZoneAlarm itself.
