I have no idea about judge Sweeney but I cat ell you this. I have ad the opportunity to spent considerable time in federal courtrooms sle sing much of that time with and around the appointed. What I can say is most if not 90% of hem could care less what people think or say about anything. One example in
Northern district if NY. Every morning a certain federal judge would park across the street from the federal building for breakfast. In a NO parking area mind you. Never did I see him pay for his meal which is reasonable I suppose. Then he would ride up in the elevator which is normal. What is not normal is doing that while smoking a cigar.... One day a staffer got onto the elevator with us and said to the plain clothed (judge) person, "SIR! You cannot smoke in a federal building!"
The judge turned and replied...."don't be rediculous, of course I can." Then laughed and got out while flicking the ashes onto the hallway carpet. Lol. They haven't all been this brash but I really liked the guy and most I've met. They are tough to influence being my point
