F&$k that. I have been one of the largest proponents of partnering. However, at this point my feelings are screw them. Take this as far as possible before partnering. Time to bury the a-holes who pretend to care about patients when in reality it is all about money.
What has transpired here is a travesty for cancer patients and investors. Let's see if this gets buried or if in fact the American public learns about the crap that goes on behind the curtain. I have talked to lots of friends and family this weekend about what has transpired here. Needless to say they are intrigued and appalled.
IMO, no way this gets out as it would turn the entire drug development process on it's ear. However, having said that, I know that this story has already been forwarded to a number of news outlets. Personally, I am in the midst of drafting an email to a fraternity brother who anchored ABC Nightly News before suffering a traumatic brain injury in an IED incident. He has recovered, actively reporting and have no doubt will be interested in this story.
