Yep, it often starts with the subtle accumulation from those in the know (insiders). This can often be seen on a chart. Once the momentum players join the party it can become a feeding frenzy and take it to the promised land (blue sky territory).

Thanks for ICBU, PAWS and FROZ (bought this AM). I had plenty of cash since I took profits on about 6 stocks that had doubled recently. I've learned the hard way to always take profits. Besides, I can always leave a few free shares or buy back in later, and usually at a lower price.
