Yes but they will be selling off excess property and downsizing all through retirement.
The gains on longivity are slowing down. Additionally the boomers living longer is a big part of the problem. Net producers of goods and services for 40 years and then net consumers for 20-25 years. Back in the 50's it was closer to 40 years of working and 5 in retirement if you got that far.
