All those billions on R&D and 55% of SARS patients over 60 die. Drug companies in worst case could lose 25-30% of potential clientele if SARS goes unchecked.
Even Muslims boycotting KO MCD doesn't effect bottomline as much as world wide pandemic. J&J and AMGN wouldn't be selling top dollar anti-anemia drugs if patient dies from SARS.
