I use the same technique in interpreting the market action. Failure to follow thru is at the same level of importance as a failed signal which then becomes a signal for a change in the opposite direction. When the bears have control but end up doing nothing, it means something. Same thing for the bulls. That kind of tell is stronger than any temporary break of a trend line.
